Today, we’re marching for change with Dr. Malvina Eydelman—a mother, daughter, sister, women’s advocate, and global authority in medical product innovation. With over 30 years at the U.S. FDA, she has driven development, regulation, and safety oversight across ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, anesthesia, respiratory, and dental sectors.

Dr. Eydelman is a catalyst for breakthrough medical innovation, pioneering regulatory pathways that enabled first-in-class technologies, including AI diagnostics, bioelectronic implants, premium IOLs, and MIGS. She is a standards and policy architect, having led the creation of more than 50 national and international standards, major regulatory frameworks, and over 30 public FDA medical device committee meetings.

An innovation ecosystem builder, she has spearheaded global forums advancing medical product innovation and novel endpoints that are transforming clinical trials. As a proven crisis leader, she drove the rapid deployment of critical medical devices during COVID-19 and was honored by the U.S. President for her leadership and impact.

A vision health expert, Dr. Eydelman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with numerous accolades, including Top 100 Ophthalmologist, 100 Women in Ophthalmology, Presidential and Congressional commendations, and awards from the American Glaucoma Society. She mentors at Stanford Ophthalmic Innovation, serves on high-impact editorial and steering committees, and is a U.S. patent holder with over 100 publications and 300 lectures worldwide.
