Under the Sisterhood
Isadora Capraro on finding herself as an artist and a woman.
Celebrating Isadora Capraro during Women's History Month a daughter, sister, friend, Argentinian and Italian artist, and an entrepreneur who owns her own art business. She currently resides in South Hampton NY.
Isadora studied fine arts at Manuel Belgrano National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her paintings play with the limits between figuration and abstraction, creating an image in which the viewer can find human shapes, animals, and symbols, hidden between colors and textures. In this colorful space, time slows down and lends room for presence. Her work brings the viewer the possibility to attend to the state of peace and stillness.
Isadora had her first solo show in 2018 in Buenos Aires and her first solo show in the United States in 2022. She’s participated in several group shows around the world. And her work is part of private collections in Europe, North America, and South America.
She believes that making and appreciating art is facing the deepest self and accepting the mysteries of life.
