Show Notes

Today we’re getting under the hood with Elsy Boglioli a mother, daughter, friend, women’s advocate and board member of women's health and parenting support companies, and the CEO of Bio-Up.

Elsy created Bio-Up in 2019 to support biotech and medtech companies in strong scale up or transformation phases, when they need to raise capital, grow their organization and structure their operations. She is particularly passionate about women’s health and a proud Board Member and Advisor to Womed, a company changing the paradigm of women’s health through targeted treatments, tailored to women’s needs.

As part of her activities within Bio-Up, Elsy is also a board member of several other companies. She chairs TreeFrog, an innovative cell therapy company with a program in Parkinson’s Disease, and she is also an independent board member of HealthTech companies in cell & gene therapy, oncology, and digital health, and of FTI Consulting, a global business consulting firm.

Previously Elsy was Executive Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer at Cellectis, a French biotechnology company focused on gene editing and its applications in oncology. Prior to joining Cellectis, Elsy worked at the Boston Consulting Group where she served as Partner Managing Director and leader of BCG’s biotech-focused business in Europe.

Outside of business, Elsy is passionate about raising her 7-year-old daughter, and making the world a better place for her. As part of this mission to support women, she mentors Israeli women from the 8200 intelligence unit who want to build an ambitious career and find their optimal work-life balance.
