Show Notes

Today we are honoring Moheerah Iftikhar a daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, writer, debater, advocate for women and student.

18 year old Moheerah found liberation in poetry. She yearns to write as passionately as she thinks. She is currently doing her A-levels. As much as diversity intrigues her, discrimination is what earns her aversion. Empathy is her most treasured quality which she has inherited from her parents. Endorsing Rumi's saying, "Raise your words, not your voice", open minded debates and discussions have earned her several awards in debate competitions. Having remarkable speaking skills, she became a story teller for "Communita"- a platform for voice artists in Pakistan.

She is a part of numerous welfare projects as a volunteer for Pioneers Youth Asia and ambassador for IGN, as well as a local NGO "Niyyah". Poetry entered her life as an escape from an unjust world. At least, thought so!  She can usually be found playing around with codes, seeking closures, binging psychological thrillers or finding her soul in music.
